Action10 is a non-profit organisation headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. We are fully funded by donations. The organisation operates under the umbrella of Human Rights & Science (HR&S).

LOCAL CENTRES IN 8 AFRICAN COUNTRIES

Action10 manages the ActionInvest fund which provides loans to social entrepreneurs, who are members of an HR&S RISE Support Centre. The ActionInvest programme also includes guidance by local HR&S coaches and external auditing.

We have a support centre in each of the 8 countries where we run programmes.

Action10 is run by volunteers. We are enthusiasts who believe that social enterprising is the right way to reduce extreme poverty, and want to contribute to coming closer to this aim.

GOVERNANCE

The highest governance body is the General Assembly and the members are the volunteer staff and the monthly givers.

MANAGEMENT

The management is addressed by the working board.

OPERATIONS

The day-to-day operations are handled by a team of 20 volunteers organised into three workgroups.

TARGET PARTNERS

Action10 is locally represented in several underprivileged countries by offices and/or organizations. Through Target Partners we encourage people to talk to us about their ideas. They have local knowledge, ambition, and the capacity to drive change by starting a business, learning new skills, or improving what they are already doing.

LOCAL PROGRAMME PARTNERS

Local Programme Partners are offices and organizations representing Action10. They are connected to the internet, have a bank account and skills in bookkeeping. They share Action10’s values and they also can share knowledge, experience, tools, networks, and resources at the national level.

VOLUNTEERS IN SWEDEN

A group of volunteers in Sweden works together for Action10 to closely support the local stakeholders in Sub-Saharan African countries. They are organised in different working groups reflecting our values. All Action10 volunteers share inputs, responsibilities, and benefits equally with the partners. They collaborate with Action10’s hard-working and ambitious social entrepreneurs, giving their best to meet their needs. All team members honour and respect each other.
